Adoptions

How It works:

1. Fill out the application to completion ** Please note, we do not chase down information. If your application is not filled out completely, it will immediately be deleted and you will not qualify to reapply for 60 days.***

 

2. Send a text confirming you have submitted your application

 

3. Within 3 days , we will reach out to you and schedule and interview/ consultation to discuss your wants and needs in your new reptile as well as the environment they will be living in.

 

4. Once that is completed , we will give you a list of animals that fit your specific wants , and that will feel comfortable within the environment you have created for them. 

 

5. Next step is proof of proper husbandry and diet. You have two options with this.

*If local a home visit will be preformed. All temps, equipment, lighting, food, and decor must be in place and correct.

* If coming from outside of our area, we will require a video showing the following : Room the animal will be living in, enclosure, lighting, decor and enrichment and everything they need to be happy and thrive PLUS you saying the name of the person who has been helping you through this adoption, the date, the name of our rescue, and the name of the animal you are interested in.

 

6. Once all that is completed we will have a meet and greet with the approved animals and you will be able to choose!

Please remember if no carrier is provided, this is an item you are responsible for bringing if you intend to take an animal home.
